Kortix from your terminal. One binary for you, your scripts and your agents.

The kortix command does from a shell what the web app does. It creates projects, runs sessions, reviews change requests, and configures agents, connectors and secrets.

$ curl -fsSL https://kortix.com/install | KORTIX_CHANNEL=dev bash
Read the CLI docs

macOS and Linux, x86_64 and arm64 · On Windows, use WSL

~/arcadia
$ curl -fsSL https://kortix.com/install | bash$ kortix login# your browser opens; approve the sign-in there$ kortix chat --new -p "Fix the billing webhook retry and prove it with a test"A 4xx no longer retries. The billing tests pass: 3 pass, 0 fail. I opened change request #12.$ kortix cr ls# STATUS FROM → INTO TITLE#12 ● open 3f9a2c1e… → main Stop retrying webhooks on a 4xx$ kortix cr merge 12✓ Merged CR #12 (fast-forward) 8c41d2e

From a prompt to a merged change, in four commands. Every command also runs inside an agent’s session.

The same commands for everyone. People, scripts and agents.

  • For youA REPL, or one prompt and out.

kortix chat talks to a session’s agent. --prompt sends one message and prints the reply.

  • For scriptsJSON and exit codes.

Read commands take --json. A failed run or a blocked merge exits non-zero.

  • For agentsNo login inside a session.

In a session’s sandbox, kortix reads its token and project from the environment.

  • For your own serversSelf-host with one command.

kortix self-host start pulls the images and starts the stack.

How the CLI works.Five jobs, each a command.

Start a project

kortix init creates a project folder with its kortix.yaml. kortix ship validates it, commits, and on the first run creates the cloud project.

Run ship again any time. It commits and pushes the branch you are on.

~/arcadia
$ kortix init arcadia$ cd arcadia$ kortix ship# first run: creates the cloud project and its repo, then pushes$ kortix ship# every run after: validate, commit, push

Use it from anywhere. The same agents, files and sessions on every surface.

  • DesktopmacOS, Windows and Linux, with Quick Entry.
  • MobileiPhone, iPad and Android.
  • SlackMention it in a thread.
  • Microsoft TeamsChats, group chats and channels.

Questions.Answered from the code.

Anything else, write to the team.

Which systems does it run on?

macOS and Linux, on x86_64 and arm64. There is no Windows binary: on Windows, run it in WSL.

How do I sign in?

Run kortix login. Your browser opens, and you approve the sign-in there. For CI, sign in with a token: kortix hosts login --token <pat>.

Can an agent use it?

Yes. Inside a session’s sandbox, the CLI reads KORTIX_TOKEN and KORTIX_PROJECT_ID from the environment. It needs no login and no link.

Is there a terminal UI?

kortix tui opens the whole product in your terminal. It is experimental, so its screens and keys can change between releases.
